Explain why the bird offspring will differ from its parent more than the amoeba offspring will be from its parent

    As an amoeba is a single-cell organism and reproduces via mitosis, there is less variability between parent and offspring. Additionally, a bird will have two parents, each with its own unique DNA strand. Those combined DNA strands will yield more possibilities for variability in the offspring.
