How did nat turners rebellion reflect race conflict in the south

Nat Turner's Rebellion took place in Southhampton County, Virginia during August 1831. It was led by Nat Turner, and the rebellion led to the deaths of 55 to 65 people. This was the largest slave uprising in the American South. The rebellion was suppressed within a few days and white southerners enacted brutal repression towards slaves in retaliation. The event was representative of the rising tensions between slaves and slave owners as a result of the continued brutal and oppressive practices of slavery.
