    Answer: Queen victoria was Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 20 June 1837. Princess Alexandrina Victoria was born on 24 May 1819 Kensington Palace, London, and died on 22 January 1901 at the age of 81. She was the daughter of Prince Edward, and Princess Victoria. She inherited the throne at age of 18 after her parents and father's three elder brothers died without surviving legitimate issue. She got married to prince Albert in 1840. She and her husband, Prince Albert, had nine children, through whose marriages were descended many of the royal families of Europe. The young queen was an adept linguist, fluent in both English and German.
