Tina, a babysitter, has put the children to sleep. It is dark and quiet in the house. Tina hears what sounds like a doorknob turning an hour before the parents are expected to be home, making her think that perhaps a stranger is trying to break into the house. According to Lazarus's cognitive-mediational theory, how would Tina experience an emotion in this situation?

Well she would have a cognitive appraisal which would be " a stranger can get into my house and hurt me and the kids, so I am scared" and then you would start feeling the emotion of scared which comes along with heart beating fast and sweating. So she would be scared based on her reasoning according to the Lazurass meditations cognitive theory.
